PWR | COMMEMORATING | Global Ethic Symposium: Celebrating 30 Years of the Global Ethic

[Edited extract from public address]

At the 2023 Parliament of the World's Religions this August, the Global Ethic Symposium celebrates 30 years of the Parliament's foundational document Towards a Global Ethic (An Initial Declaration)

The Symposium is generously sponsored by Notre Dame University’s Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion.

The Global Ethic Symposium brings together prominent representatives from several religious and spiritual traditions to tackle this question:
How do we put into practice our commitments to foster a culture of respect for life, of economic justice, of truth and compassion, of women’s rights, and of care for the Earth?
The Symposium opens with the assembly The Global Ethic in Action on Monday 14 August 2023. During the assembly, luminaries discuss how the Global Ethic relates to their personal and organizational efforts to improve the social good.
