About Us

The Network was formed in early 2011 with representation from many faith groups and spiritualities. Currently in caretaker mode with Carey Rohrlach attending.  To reflect changing times, repositioned as Global Engagement in Friendlier Neighbourhoods.

Promoting harmony and respect for faiths, values, cultures and traditions in our shared community.

Providing opportunities for dialogue, understanding, harmonious interaction, co-operative community service and events that highlight positive contributions in the community.

Demonstrating respect for others belief’s, cultures and traditions. This desire arises from our common humanity and our being people of faith.

Recognising that as neighbours, we have responsibilities to ourselves, community and the world.

Encouraging all citizens, to put aside intolerance, prejudice and divisiveness to attain peaceful and fruitful co-existence.

Acknowledging Cities of Port Phillip and Glen Eira are traditionally lands of the Boon Wurrung, Bunurong and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation. Respect is offered to past, present and future elders of all spiritual traditions. May we find together a generous way to accommodate those in need of refuge. Let us be cool, strive individually and together to overcome inequality, violence, disengagement, tragedy and injustice wherever it may be. Let us honour, savor and enjoy results of mindful effort so more thrive peacefully with less effort in our place called home.
