NSW | ICLC | ANNOUNCING | Major win: Inner City Legal Centre to establish first statewide LGBTQIA+ legal service in NSW after report funded by Rainbow Giving grant
Inner City Legal Centre (ICLC) announced they will significantly expand their offering with new government funding that will increase access to their safe and culturally-informed legal services for more LGBTQIA+ people beyond Sydney and across NSW.
Following the news, we received a touching email from ICLC which they agreed for us to share:
When the NSW Government announced the funding, one of our first thoughts was: we need to thank Rainbow Giving.Your $60k investment in our A Blueprint for Equality report helped us make the case for what LGBTQIA+ communities need and what it actually costs to deliver it.It's pretty incredible to think that your $60k has helped unlock more than $3.2 million for specialist LGBTQIA+ legal services in NSW.Thank you for backing us when this was just an idea. We genuinely don't think we would be here without you.
We couldn't be prouder to support ICLC and can't wait to see the positive impact this vital work creates. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to invest in LGBTQIA+ communities, we’d love to hear from you.
