CoPP | GOV | GATHERING | Reconciliation Week Flag Raising Ceremony | Wednesday 27 May 2026 | 12.30-1.30pm

[Edited extract from public address]

City of Port Phillip invites community members, partners and stakeholders to gather in good will for our Reconciliation Week Flag Raising Ceremony, marking the beginning of National Reconciliation Week 2026.

Held on the front lawn of St Kilda Town Hall, this annual ceremony brings our community together to recognise the enduring cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to reaffirm our shared commitment to reconciliation.

The ceremony will be held in partnership with the Boonwurrung Land and Sea Council and will include the raising of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flags.

National Reconciliation Week 2026: All In
The 2026 National Reconciliation Week theme, All In, calls on all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation through shared responsibility, meaningful action and ongoing commitment. The flag raising ceremony offers an opportunity to reflect on our shared histories and consider how we can each contribute to a more just, equitable and inclusive future.
