Irene Opper, St Kilda resident and national manager of the Street by Street Project says 'as a simple way to get started, drop an invitation for a casual gathering at a local cafe, park or community centre into people's letter boxes.'Once people meet each other, it's much easier to make friends and start to feel as if you live in a community'.
