ICM | ENCOURAGING | All Victorians to Vote YES for constitutional recognition | Saturday 14 October 2023

[Edited extract from public address]

On Saturday 14 October 2023, Australians will be asked to vote YES or NO for constitutional recognition and a Voice to Parliament for Australia's First Nations peoples.

The following distinguished speakers were invited to share their knowledge and beliefs about the Voice to Parliament at our event in the Melbourne Town Hall: Bringing Our Multifaith Neighbours Together for Reconciliation: the Voice.

We invite you to watch the recording (70 mins)

Members of The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne, have carefully considered the Voice to Parliament issues and will be voting YES because we believe:
"When we listen to people about the decisions that affect them, we get better results.
For the past 250 years, we haven’t properly listened to the people who have been here for 65,000.
It’s time we did".
YES makes a better future possible for all of us.
Our support for a First Peoples' Voice has not wavered.

We encourage all Victorians to Vote YES
