Join speaker Hayat Doughan for an evening to learn about how we can preserve and protect the dignity and respect of older people in our community, and the issues that face them. 

This is a collaboration between Casey Multi-Faith Network and the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria (ECCV).

Join this first ever Annual Interfaith Gathering of faith leaders and followers from across the City of Casey as a way to foster peace, harmony and cross-collaboration.

CMFN | GATHERING | For Multicultural Iftar Dinner | 15 April 2023 | Arrive 4.20pm for 4:30pm

Join this inclusive and multicultural Iftar Dinner bringing together people of different faiths and communities to enhance love, respect, and harmony while sharing commonalities.  

The event aims to It is an excellent opportunity to connect with your fellow community members and build bridges across different cultures and religions.

The event will feature speeches from speakers from different religions, including Sarita Kulkarni from the Hindu Community, Rev Ric Holland from the Hampton Park Uniting Church, and Respected Regional Missionary Imam Atif Ahmad Zahid, who will be giving a Ramadhan presentation. The event will also include a recitation of the Holy Quran, Q&A about Ramadhan, and Adhan Breaking Fast & Prayer.

Please come and hear their perspectives and insights on the importance of tolerance and understanding in our diverse community. We look forward to your presence at this celebration of diversity and interfaith dialogue. 

Organised in collaboration with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Hampton Park Uniting Church, and Casey Multi-Faith Network.

CMFN | GATHERING | Community Service and Faith | Thursday16 March 2023 | arrive 6.45pm for 7pm

This Harmony Week, join Casey Multi-Faith Network (CFMN) with four speakers from four different faiths that will present on how their faith exemplifies community service.

Community Service is a key pillar of many religions. Prescribed in scripture, folklore and tradition it serves as the foundation of many religious belief systems to be the primary manner of expressing kindness, sacrifice and love to others.

To celebrate Harmony Week, the Casey Multi-Faith Network will explore how some faith groups centre their expression of faith around giving back to the community and those in need. These contributions to our society need to be highlighted and celebrated as an example of the benefits of our diverse and multicultural community.

CMFN | FINDING | The bridge between Peace and Faith among people of faiths and no faith | Thursday 22 September 2022 | 6.30-7.30pm AEST

Religion promotes Peace and Harmony in individuals, communities and society.

Therefore, interreligious Dialogues and understanding are keys to achieving the aim of the International Day of Peace, also known as World Peace Day, which was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly to dedicate to world peace among nations and ethnic and religious groups.

Casey Multi-Faith Network celebrates this important aim and has invited three different faith and spiritual leaders to present their understanding of Peace and Faith. We welcome you to join this virtual event to hear from our speakers and participate in a Q&A session.

Speakers:
  • Islam Speaker: Abdul Rahman Zyka (Imam and Hifz Strategist) is the current Imam and Hifz Strategist of Minaret College a member of Board of Imams Victoria and the Australian National Imams Council.
  • Hindu Speaker: Mangalam Vasan (Teacher of Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple) is the Hinduism teacher for young children at the Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Carrum Downs.
  • DEJIAO Speaker: Stephen Chew (Director, International Confederation of Moral Uplifting Societies) is actively involved in the Interfaith work as a speaker in Interfaith Dialogues. and has served in different roles in Kingston, Casey, Whitehorse and Monash Interfaith Networks.
