Operation #NotForgotten is a community-led response providing private sponsorship to Canada for refugees who were detained on Manus Island and Nauru. These refugees have no other viable resettlement option.
In 2019, a group of Australian expats and Canadians living in Toronto came together, appalled by Australia’s indefinite detention of refugees and ready to take action.Sponsorship applications offer the fastest, most certain route for the refugee and have already been lodged for 150 refugees in offshore processing and 96 separated family members (246 people in all).
But they need your support to lodge resettlement applications for dozens more refugees.
