CHUFFED | RAISING | Donations to Australian Winter Survival Packs for Syrian refugee children

[Edited extract from public address]

Right now there is an urgent need to get warm clothes and blankets to kids in Syria living through the longest running war in a century.

These children have lost their homes and are now living in flimsy Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps. Winter is fast approaching, bitterly cold and hypothermia is rife.

Warm woollen clothes and blankets save lives.

Aussies Knitting for War Affected Kids are a community-led movement sending Winter Survival Packs with handmade pure wool clothes, blankets, toys and enrichment items. Each pack includes a jumper, scarf, beanie, mittens and blankets knitted and sewn by volunteers, keeping each a child absolutely covered in wool warmth from head to toe.

They are purposefully designed to keep a child alive during the most bitter winter.

These children receive the bare minimum in aid and have little more than the clothes they flee in.

Chip in and keep a Syrian child warm this winter!
