 Community Profile

Port Phillip Men's Shed

The Men’s Shed provides a safe and caring mateship environment. Our members hail from all walks of life and from different age groups.

Most of us like being busy—working on projects, learning new things, or problem solving. The Shed provides opportunities to do just that. We have woodworking and metalworking facilities, as well as a vegetable garden. We have also found that folks experiencing loneliness, depression—often undiagnosed or ignored— or a sense of meaning seem to benefit from being at The Shed.

The Shed provides a safe and supportive space where members can be creative, remain active, contribute to the local community, and connect with Shed mates.

Women are most welcome to participate and are invited to join the Shed as Associate members. They have access to all facilities and can participate in workshops and Shed community activities.

Drop in for a visit, have a chat over a cuppa, and take a tour of one of the best Sheds in Victoria.
