CASEY | CMFN | GATHERING | Belonging in Casey Awards Ceremony & Celebration | Friday 9 October 2026 | Arrive 6pm for 6.30pm-8.45pm

[Edited extract from public address]

Building understanding. Strengthening relationships. Creating belonging.

Casey Multi-Faith Network (CMFN) is looking to strengthen and rebuild connections with Casey's communities.
Like many community organisations, we have faced challenges over recent years, but we are moving forward with renewed energy and a very simple purpose – bringing people and communities together, building understanding and helping create a Casey where everyone feels they belong.

This year, among other activities, we initiated the Belonging in Casey project, engaging CQ Cultural Education Institute to deliver the pilot across Casey schools. We received an incredible 2,147 entries from students from Prep to Year 12 across 17 Casey schools.

At its heart, Belonging in Casey asked young people to think about kindness, respect, inclusion, cultural and religious difference, responsibility and what each of us can do to help another person feel they belong.

We would be very happy to send you the full project report if you are interested.

We would love your family and community to be involved

As we rebuild the Casey Multi-Faith Network, we would greatly appreciate renewed energy in the committee. We are also looking for people willing to become more actively involved and, where possible, join our committee.

This is particularly important as the Network has been asked to host the Annual Interfaith Conference in 2028. It is a wonderful opportunity for Casey, but we want it to be something we build together, with genuine representation from across our local faith communities.
