The Parliament of the World's Religions is honored to welcome more featured luminaries of the 2023 Parliament of the World’s Religions.

  • Bhai Sahib Bhai Mohinder Singh Ahluwalia is the third in line of Sikh religious leaders of Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha, GNNSJ UK and Chairman of the Nishkam Group of Charitable Organisations.
  • Parisa Khosravi is a keynote speaker, a strategic adviser and a multi award winning veteran journalist and news executive.
  • Grandmaster Shi Yongxin is the Venerable Abbot of Songshan Shaolin Temple, renowned for promoting the Shaolin Buddhist Culture in China and worldwide.
  • Rabbi Dr. Alon Goshen-Gottstein is the founder and director of the Elijah Interfaith Institute, and one of the world’s leading figures in interreligious dialogue.
  • Rev. Masanori Takeuchi the Head Minister of the Konko Church of Chicago.
  • Bob Boisture is the President of the Fetzer Institute, helping Fetzer adopted its current mission statement, “helping build the spiritual foundation for a loving world.”
  • Dr. Muhammad Abdulghany Hamedeh is the Chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC).
  • Gus diZerega is a Third Degree Elder in Gardnerian Wicca with spent many years of experience with Afro-Brazilian healing shamanism. 
  • Swami Yatidharmananda is the General Secretary of the Swami Sivanand Seva Samiti Sivanand Ashram.

On 6 August 1945 at 8.15am, the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Last year, people all over the world united in prayer for a world free of nuclear weapons. It was a truly moving event that reached well over 100,000 people.

International Religious Freedom (IRF) Roundtable to Host Hybrid Event Advancing Freedom of Religion | Tuesday 15 August 2023

Following the Crisis Plenary, the IRF Secretariat will hold its weekly Washington, DC-based Roundtable at the 2023 Parliament Convening. It will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Plenary hall and will be a hybrid event. The International Religious Freedom (IRF) Roundtable will hear from a mix of high-level government officials, civil society leaders, and religious leaders who are working to advance freedom of religion or belief around the world.
