GiveOUT is on the look out for two superstars to join our small, passionate, and collaborative team who are committed to growing the amount of funding and support for Australian LGBTQIA+ communities.
Is this you?
You will be employed by GiveOUT but also have the opportunity to work with our peers and collaborators at Aurora Group. GiveOUT and Aurora are two Australian LGBTQIA+-led community funders with a strong history of collaboration, who hold a shared vision of creating an empowered, resilient and well-resourced LGBTQIA+ community sector.
We are dedicated to attracting and retaining people from diverse backgrounds, and a proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunity workplace, that actively supports flexible work arrangements.
Why you should work with us!
- A flexible and remote opportunity: Both positions are fully remote / work from home and are open to anyone across Australia! You will also have the opportunity to meet the team in person. Both roles are flexible, part-time up to 30 hours a week.
- Make a real difference to LGBTQIA+ communities: A great opportunity to effect systems-level change across the LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit sector and philanthropy sector. In the 2023 calendar year alone, we collectively distributed over $800,000 in funding to over 100 LGBTQIA+ organisations including via GiveOUT Day, Amplify Pride Fund (which recently won the Philanthropy Australia 'Community Philanthropy Award') and Aurora's Ignite Pride Grant round.
- Accelerate your career: You will work in a small, energetic and supportive team with a big vision. You will have lots of scope to drive initiatives and work across a diversity of campaigns.
More on the roles
The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing engaging, values-aligned and integrated marketing and communications strategies and implementation plans for the organisation, and specifically for the GiveOUT Day campaign. The role will have a strong focus on digital and social media marketing and communications, and require tailoring content and messages for our two key stakeholder groups: (1) LGBTQIA+ communities, not-for-profits and projects and (2) Funders (including philanthropy, corporates and individuals).
The Administrative Coordinator provides a comprehensive range of effective and efficient support for projects, grant programs, community sector engagement, governance, systems and finance. This includes supporting LGBTQIA+ community organisations to timely sign up and participate successfully in GiveOUT Day, supporting end-to-end grants administration for Amplify Pride Fund and Ignite Pride Fund, providing marketing, communications and event administrative support, and maintaining systems and databases, and governance and bookkeeping processes.
Thank you to our generous partners who support GiveOUT's work.
As always, if you have any questions, comments or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@giveout.org.au.
With love,
The GiveOUT team
