VMC | UPDATING | Multicultural grants available, participate in research for hearing loss, and our Multicultural Youth Network and more | 9 August 2022

[Edited extract from public address]

As we enjoy these in-person gatherings it is gratifying to observe the community's thoughtful adherence to COVID-19 health advice, including wearing masks where necessary in the community and encouraging hand sanitising.

Message from the Chairperson

The last week at the VMC has been a busy one, with many Commissioners (including myself) having the privilege of attending some special community events.

While these community events are wonderful opportunities to celebrate and connect, we do strongly advise to stay home if you are feeling unwell, in line with government health advice. Please do your part in looking after yourself, your loved ones and your community.

On a happier note, there are several important grant opportunities that are currently open for applications. A couple are included in our newsletter below, however I also encourage you to revisit last week's newsletter for more. It's been wonderful to see the investment being made in Victoria's multicultural communities, and I warmly invite all those eligible to take advantage of these grants.

Until we next meet, take care and stay well.

Viv Nguyen AM, Chairperson
